  1. That is not to discount the rest of the album's content! So far all of Dare's writing and performing is inspirational & challenging almost to the point of Christian-esque if there is such a classification. The title cut "Calm Before The Storm" is intoxicating in both it's lyrics and musical content/5(35).

Audio CD (February 2, ) However, the album in question is Calm Before the Storm and I don't know where to sart with my praise. I find it very difficult to pick out a single song that stands above /5(28).

Oct 08,  · Billed as the band’s seventh studio album, ‘Calm Before The Storm 2’ is, in fact, a complete re-recording of the band’s third album of the same name (minus the final numeral), originally released back in by the Munich-based indie MTM Records – oh, with the exception of the cover of Lizzy’s ‘Still In Love With You’, which has been replaced by two new tracks.

The original was good, slick, smooth AOR, great songs and was fine in the Dare catalogue, kind of the downside to Dare’s output though was that after ‘Calm Before The Storm’ came ‘Belief’ and then ‘Beneath The Shining Water,’ both nice albums but seemingly perhaps like re-writes of ‘C.B.T.S.’ IMHO.
